St. Mary’s School has athletic teams for all grade levels K-8, competing against other local Catholic, private, and public schools. Our Soccer program is for Kindergarten – 4th grade, and is a favorite fall sport for players of all skill levels working together. 5th – 8th graders compete in Volleyball, Basketball, Tennis, Track & Field, and Baseball against other parochial schools. There are also many teams of St. Mary’s students that compete in our local YMCA and City leagues.
Within the core curriculum of St. Mary’s School is physical education (PE) for all grade levels 2-3 times per week. In PE, students learn skills, rules, and sportsmanship for various sports and games, as well as learning about general physical fitness. A highlight of the school year is the school-wide Hockey Tournament that takes place during Catholic Schools Week. The fight for the “golden cup” is always fun and intense — whether you’re a player or a spectator!
