St. Mary’s School is a Catholic parochial school — the biggest mission of St. Mary’s Parish. As such, we take our faith formation very seriously. More than just religion class, the faith formation at St. Mary’s School is evident throughout the school throughout the day. From daily prayer and study of the Catholic faith to a focus on service and a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, the school day at St. Mary’s is guided by Christian principles. This mission supports a faith-filled, family-like, inclusive learning environment.

Education cannot be neutral. It is either positive or negative; either it enriches or it impoverishes; either it enables a person to grow or it lessens, even corrupts him. The mission of schools is to develop a sense of truth, of what is good and beautiful. And this occurs through a rich path made up of many ingredients. This is why there are so many subjects — because development is the results of different elements that act together and stimulate intelligence, knowledge, the emotions, the body, and so on.”

— Address of Pope Francis to students and teachers from schools across Italy
St. Peter’s Square, 10 May 2014
